This first course in the series consists of three units that cover inclusive language when discussing sex and gender and the anatomical and function of sexual and reproductive parts of the body.
Intro to Sexual Health Concepts
Objectives:
- Explain sexuality in a broad and holistic framework
- Define gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, sex assigned at birth
- Differentiate between sex and gender
- Discuss reproductive and sexual health in a more gender-inclusive manner
Anatomy
Objectives:
- Name the parts of reproductive and sexual anatomy
- Explain the role each part plays
- Use inclusive language when speaking about sexual and reproductive anatomy
Physiology
Objectives:
- Explain the menstrual cycle including the endometrial and ovarian cycles
- Describe fertility, menstruation, and ejaculation
- Use inclusive language when speaking about the physiology of reproduction
