Burton Patterson, BSW

Burton joined HCET in April 2022 as an adolescent health project manager. He graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a Bachelor of Social Work. Burton and his family moved to Indianapolis from Chicago in 2015, where he began working as a health educator facilitating programs surrounding sexual health, bullying prevention, and healthy relationships. Before joining the HCET team, Burton worked in the sexual assault prevention field, focused on gender-based violence prevention and healthy masculinity. He is very passionate about social justice and advocating for underrepresented populations. When he is not working, you can find him spending time with his family and avidly supporting his Chicago sports teams.
