Abby Hunt has been with HCET since 2007. She is passionate about the critical role of reproductive and sexual health services and programs in improving individual, family, and community health. Abby is the parent of three young (ish) boys and loves outdoor exploration, exercise, coffee, honest and open communication, and reading books in hard copy.
Leigh Zaban has been with HCET since February 2015. Until July 2019, Leigh served in Indianapolis as the Director of Community Programs & Partnerships. In July 2019, Leigh relocated with her family from the Hoosier state back to the Twin Cities and transitioned into a new role with the organization as the Director of Sustainability. In this role, Leigh loves working with local partners and collaborating on public health initiatives to serve communities throughout the Midwest. As a native of Minnesota, Leigh received a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota. When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, and beloved goldendoodle, Gus.
Jen Stephenson has been the Director of Business Operations at HCET since October 2004. She supervises all financial management processes and systems, including oversight of the annual audit. Jen is a key leader at HCET and a champion for women’s health. When she is not keeping everything and everyone in line at HCET, she spends time with her close-knit family and friends, plays golf, and plans parties.
Doug has been a valued team member with HCET since December 2012. Prior to HCET, he was the Director of Foster Care Services at Children’s Bureau, Inc. Currently, Doug tracks project outcomes and performance measures to ensure program quality and effectiveness for all HCET Indiana Adolescent Health Projects. He also oversees the tracking of quality assurance and improvement for all of HCET’s trainings and learning opportunities. Doug is a licensed clinical social worker and received his master’s degree in social work from Indiana University in 2001. In addition to this, he is a Court Appointed Special Advocate with the Marion County Juvenile Court, where he volunteers as a child advocate for youth in foster care. When he is not swinging from rooftops or fighting crime, Doug enjoys traveling with his husband, reading and collecting comic books, and playing with his dogs.
Jeremy Roseberry joined HCET in 2016 as a Project Manager, and in 2020 transitioned into the role of Director of Community Health. In this role, Jeremy works with state, federal, and other funders to direct and monitor the implementation and evaluation of community health projects, build support for existing community health projects, and expand HCETs work in the region. Jeremy also serves as the Principal Investigator and Project Director for HCET’s Disease Intervention Training Center (DITC)- where we train COVID-19 contact tracers and case investigators, Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS), and other health professionals responding to HIV, STDs, and other public health emergencies. Prior to joining HCET, Jeremy worked for the Indiana State Department of Health’s (ISDH) Division of HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis. Jeremy studied at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis where he received his master’s degree in sociology. He is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana but currently lives in Indianapolis with his partner Jim and their Bichon Frise Ernie. Jeremy loves Star Trek, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Kelly Bradford is an IN-PACT Communications Coordinator at HCET. She has been with the organization for seven years and works closely with project managers to ensure program development. In addition to those duties, Kelly generates all social media content including HCETs e-newsletter. Bradford graduated from Illinois State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She moved to Indianapolis in 2005 to continue her work with students and community outreach. Kelly views reproductive and sexual health care as a fundamental right for all humans. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Monique Hensley has over 25 years of experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health and is a certified trainer of multiple evidence-based interventions. She joined HCET in 2012 and oversees adolescent programs to ensure quality and fidelity in the delivery of programs aimed at reducing teen pregnancy and STI’s/HIV. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS), and frequently worked with individuals who expressed they lacked the knowledge and skills to prevent sexually transmitted infection(s). This served to fuel her passion to ensure all individuals, youth and adults, have access to reproductive health care and receive comprehensive, medically accurate sexuality education. When not working, Monique enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Megan joined HCET in September 2019 as the Training and Operations Coordinator in which she provided administrative support to the WI team. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) with a BA in Psychology and recently graduated from Edgewood College with a MS in Organizational Development. During undergrad, she was a part of the InQueery program which was a group of students trained to interact with our peers to combat homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism through innovative activities and workshops in classrooms, residence halls, athletic teams, and student organizations. In her spare time, Megan enjoys baking cookies, making loaves of bread, and taking as many adventures as possible.
As the Director of Community Programs & Partnerships, Rebecca oversees the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of HCET’s adolescent projects. Prior to HCET, she was the Director of Community Programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, where she supported the operations of school-based and community partnerships. She is a proud Hoosier, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University. Rebecca loves all things IU, the beach, the great outdoors, holidays, and quality time with her husband, 2 sons, and mini-goldendoodle.
Cara Berg Raunick joined HCET in 2019 as the Clinical Quality and Advancement Specialist. She is a nurse practitioner who graduated from Case Western Reserve University as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Her areas of clinical expertise include family planning, sexual health, women’s health, trauma-informed care, and addiction medicine. She has a background as a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A) and strives to bring a trauma-informed approach to all that she does. Cara is also a proud American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) certified Sexuality Counselor and fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH). She loves to teach, learn, and build community and feels lucky to work in a space that is so aligned with her values. Outside of work, she loves musical theatre, spending time with friends and family, and watching her amazing daughter grow.
Kelsey, who joined HCET in January 2020, offers administrative support and financial processes help as administrative assistant. Kelsey has extensive experience in the medical field, ranging from family medicine to ocular care. She spent much of her career working with a federally qualified health center that offers family medicine, counseling, drug addiction rehabilitation, financial assistance, and much more. During that stretch in her career, she learned the ins and outs of management within a nonprofit organization, from understanding grant-related income to offering service and care, regardless of income or geography. Kelsey is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, as well as nonprofit practices, during her future with HCET. As a new downtown Indianapolis resident, Kelsey enjoys spending her time exploring the city, picnicking on the canal, and frequenting different coffee shops. When she is not roaming the city, she spends time with her two rescued cats, Simone and Alroy.
Jordyn Murch joined HCET in June, 2020. As a training manager, she plans and coordinates in-person trainings, webinars, and other educational events. Jordyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in health and society from Beloit College. Prior to her role at HCET, Jordyn was the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) coordinator at Community Action, Inc., where she educated adolescents on safe -sex practices and healthy decision-making skills. She also has experience as a health center assistant at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains in Denver, Colorado. In her free time, Jordyn enjoys playing soccer, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time outside.
Lucy Nguyen joined HCET in the summer of 2020 as the eLearning training manager creating modules for our LMS. Originally from Saigon, Vietnam, Lucy was one of the boat people who immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s. Ask her about her pirate stories! She was a public school teacher for twelve years, where she developed a passion for service learning and educational equity. She worked in the technology field as a software tester and realized she wanted to get back to the community involvement and content creation aspects of training. She is currently getting her master’s degree at Purdue in learning design and technology. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, writing, and gardening with her husband, two sons, dog, and four chickens.
Bailey Schroeder joined HCET in August 2020 as a Training Coordinator, e-Learning. Bailey works on the Learning Management System (LMS) team and helps manage the content. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis. Prior to her role at HCET, Bailey worked as a Program Assistant for the IU School of Medicine Histotechnology Program. In her free time, Bailey enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
Burton comes to the Health Care Education and Training (HCET) team with a wealth of knowledge in the sexual health education, bullying prevention, and gender-based violence prevention fields. As a project manager, Burton is incredibly excited to support HCET partners, while bringing his direct service experience and expertise in the field to working with systems involved youth!
