Education & Training

HCET provides education and training in-person and online to organizations to help them deliver high-quality health care services and education programs that improve reproductive and sexual health. Education and training activities are determined by needs assessments, funding, community request, and up-to-date research. Training design is grounded in adult learning theory, tailored to community and partner need, and delivered in-person, web-based, text-messaging, and via training modules. Education and training includes:

*Topics to help our stakeholders provide better reproductive health clinical services, design and deliver adolescent pregnancy and STI/HIV prevention programs, and effectively evaluate programs and services

*Staff coaching and support to meet organizational education and service goals

*Information dissemination for relevant and up-to-date information on reproductive and sexual health

*Reproductive and sexual health curriculum development for parents and guardians, health care providers, and other professionals

*Approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation

*Text-based education and information programs

*Online courses that are easy to access and self-paced through the HCET Virtual Learning platform.
