Presenter
Janet Carpenter, PhD, RN, FAAN
Indiana School of Nursing
Dr. Carpenter is a menopause scientist whose research has improved understanding of hot flashes, and palpitations. She has developed new ways to measure hot flashes, and provided clear evidence on how to manage them. Some of her many honors include USA Today Woman of the Century (Indiana), Indiana Woman of Achievement, Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science Outstanding Nurse Scientist, Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and Sigma International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame. Currently, Dr. Carpenter is the Interim Dean and a Distinguished Professor, and Audrey Geisel Endowed Chair of Innovation at the Indiana University School of Nursing, which has campuses in Bloomington, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis.
Nursing Contact Hours
A total of 1.0* nursing contact hours will be available for this event. To successfully complete this activity, the participant must attend the entire session, complete an evaluation, and complete the Nursing Contact Hour Attendance Verification Form.
