HCET provides education and training to organizations to help them deliver high-quality health care services and education programs that improve reproductive and sexual health. Education and training activities are determined by needs assessments, funding, community request, and up-to-date research. Training design is grounded in adult learning theory, tailored to community and partner need, and delivered in-person, web-based, text-messaging, and via training modules. Education and training includes:

  • Topics to help our stakeholders provide better reproductive health clinical services, design and deliver adolescent pregnancy and STD/HIV prevention programs, and effectively evaluate programs and services.
  • Staff coaching and support to meet organization education and service goals
  • Information dissemination for relevant and up-to-date information on reproductive and sexual health
  • Reproductive and sexual health curriculum development for parents, health care providers, and other professionals
  • Approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation
  • Text-based education and information programs
