Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Adolescent Reproductive Health Project assists both governmental and nongovernmental organizations in increasing the capacity to implement science-based approaches to teen pregnancies, STDs and HIV prevention.
HCET's training and educational activities under this project include:
- Conducting a region wide needs assessment.
- Providing training opportunities in science based strategies through audio conferences, face-to-face trainings, institutes, and distance learning modules.
- Promoting learning opportunities and sharing of resources by creating a listserv on adolescent reproductive health issues.
- Conducting and assisting in program evaluations.
- Providing technical assistance to organizations and coalitions, enhancing Adolescent Reproductive Health capacity building efforts.
